DA YOUTH ELECTS NEW PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE

The DA Youth provincial council held a meeting in Cradock last weekend, where a new executive was elected.

On behalf of the DA Eastern Cape it gives me great pleasure to announce the newly elected Provincial Youth Executive.

Chairperson:  Ondela Kepe  Additional members: Olwethu Ntame, Siseko Masiza, Siphokazi Tabu and Kyle Minnaar.

The new youth executive was elected at the DA Youth provincial council in Cradock this weekend, with all positions being contested by the youth members present.

The youth of South Africa are in dire need of a credible political organisation to represent their interests and the DA Youth is such an organisation. The DA Youth is a strategically important part of the DA and will continue to drive the issues that matter to all the youth.

Issues such as youth unemployment, the restructuring of the National Student Aid Financial Scheme, quality education for all our children, drug and alcohol abuse and teen pregnancy will continue to form part of the youth’s mandate in the province.

I would like to thank the outgoing provincial youth executive, under the leadership of Andrew Whitfield, for their work over the past two years. I would also like to wish the new provincial youth executive committee all the best in their new positions, we are confident that they will deliver.
