Work history:
Worked for various shipping companies until 1988.
January 1988 joined Auto & General Insurance until April 2002.
Started working for Auto & General in Cape Town, promoted to a manager and transferred to Port Elizabeth in 1991.
I resigned from Auto & General to go into full time politics.

Previous political positions:
Elected as a ward councillor for the Democratic Alliance in December 2000 in Port Elizabeth.
Re-elected in 2006.
Was elected Chief Whip of the DA Caucus Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality in 2006.
Serve on the Provincial Executive of the party.
