Family moved to East London in 1986.

  • Went to Stirling Primary School, and matriculated from Selborne College in 1994.
  • During a business trip to the USA and having a strong need to study further, I started studying Medicine at the University of Florida in the States.
  • Since Rhodes University in East London had no medical programme I changed my degree to B.Comm (Law).

  • Went straight in the family business after school.
  • A family medical concern persuaded me to return to SA to help out with the family business.

    • Current political position:

  • MPL in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature
  • DA Provincial Legislature committees served are: Economic Affairs, Environment and Tourism, Sport, Recreation, Arts & Culture and Youth, Gender & the Disabled

    • Previous political positions:

  • Joined the DA in 2003.
  • Became DA Provincial Youth Leader in 2005.
  • Elected to BCM Council in 2006.
  • Became DA caucus leader in 2008.
  • Elected to Provincial Legislature in 2009.
  • Been an executive member of the Border-Kei Chamber of Business since 2004.

  • Participate in Rowing as a recreational and competitive sport.
