THE South African Police Service in the Eastern Cape shelled out almost R1.8-million for 3521 policemen and women to attend the National Police Day celebrations in Bloemfontein last month, Safety and Liaison MEC Ghishma Barry has told the Bhisho Legislature.
Replying to a written question from Bobby Stevenson (DA), the MEC said this included R528150 for food and beverages and R227 772 for caps and armbands. Read the full story in The Herald.
