EASTERN Cape Arts and Culture MEC Xoliswa Tom said yesterday she had secured R8-million to provide assistance to beleaguered Bayworld.
DA spokesperson on Economic Development and Environmental Affairs, John Cupido, said the party regretted that no action had been taken by the department to ensure that Bayworld was guaranteed national and international visitors, and was maintained to acceptable standards. “One of the main reasons for being a host city is to showcase the city and its attractions to the rest of the world. A complete upgrade of Bayworld would have been justified by this reason alone.
