On 23 March the DA’s Dacre Haddon introduced a motion tabled in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature on millions owed by provincial and national departments to Eastern Cape municipalities saying; “It is vital that money owed to municipalities is paid immediately.”

True to form, though, the motion on provincial debts owed to Eastern Cape municipalities was defeated by the ANC. aaaah, isn’t defeated such a PC word? We should get back to calling a spade a spade and substitute defeated with one of these choice word/s; turned down, ignored, swept under the carpet, shown the finger, buried, shot down, refused to listen to criticism, yada yada.  Read the full article on MyPE.co.za
