RETAINING WALL FOR KRAGGA KAMMA TIP

A Temporary retaining wall structure is to be put up at the Kragga Kamma tip site “to resolve health and safety concerns”, public health executive director Dr Mamisa Chabula- Nxiweni has stated in a letter to DA MPL Dacre Haddon.

This follows an outcry over conditions at the waste site. Chabula-Nxiweni says the contract for the project consists of earthworks and the construction of gabion-type retaining walls and floors, concrete slabs, roadworks and landscaping.  Read the full story in The Herald.
