OPPOSITION WOMEN SAYS TRANSPORT REQUESTS WERE OVERLOOKED

OPPOSITION parties in the Eastern Cape have taken aim at the province’s Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts, and Culture (DSRAC), accusing it of changing transport arrangements for the National Women’s Day celebrations on Monday.

“The Democratic Alliance declined to speak at Monday’s National Women’s Day event in East London after an agreement to provide transport to our supporters was reneged on,” read a statement issued by DA Women’s Network chairperson and Eastern Cape MPL Veliswa Mvenya.  Read the full story in the Daily Dispatch.
