DA INTERVENES IN SCHOOL HEALTH HAZARD

The Da has intervened in an effort to sort out mountains of rubbish which has been piling up at two township schools, Walmer Lower Primary and Walmer High School for the past year. From the right are DA activist R. Mose, Ward 4 coucillor Bobby Cekisani, MPL Bobby Stevenson and Ward 4 co-ordinator Lulama Stout. "This would never be accepted at schools across the road," Stevenson said. "I have contacted the MEC for Education to ensure that the municipality or its agencies are instructed to remove the rubbish on a regular basis. This sends out the wrong message to learners that no-one cares for them or their environment. The DA wants to build caring societies".
