Opposition parties have called on the national Department of Health to intervene in the Eastern Cape after yet another dismal audit report for the provincial department.
DA health spokesperson Pine Pienaar said the department was in “total chaos” and national government should intervene. The report showed the department had lost control over its R13.6billion budget, he added. “The national department should stabilise it to get the right skills in place.
