348. Mr C Martin to ask the MEC responsible for Human Settlements:
(1) Whether she has been informed of recent allegations in the media that houses in the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality are reserved for certain sections and racial groups; if so, what are the relevant details;
(2) (a) how many houses had been allocated to the New Chatty area in the Northern Areas as at the latest specified date for which information is available and (b) what percentage has been allocated per racial group in respect of these houses;
(3) (a) how many beneficiaries have been relocated to this area from the former townships and (b) how many houses had been handed over to beneficiaries as at the latest specified date for which information is available?
349. Mr R S Stevenson to ask the MEC responsible for Local Government and Traditional Affairs:
(1) What total amounts were owed to the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality (NMMM) by (a) the Department of Human Settlements for housing subsidies, (b) the Department of Health for health subsidies and (c) the Department of Roads and Public Works in respect of maintenance done by the NMMM on provincial roads as at the latest specified date for which information is available;
(2) what amounts have been outstanding for more than 30 days in respect of (a), (b) and (c) above?
350. Ms V Mvenya to ask the MEC responsible for Local Government and Traditional Affairs:
(1) Whether he has been informed that a Buffalo City Municipality councillor has been charged with murder: if so,
(2) whether public representatives are allowed to continue serving once implicated in a criminal act such as murder; if not, (a) when will this councillor be suspended and (b) what are the further relevant details?
351. Mr R S Stevenson to ask the MEC responsible for Health:
(a) What legal disputes was his Department involved in that are not related to labour matters as at the latest specified date for which information is available, (b) what is the nature of these disputes in each case and (b) what amounts are anticipated to be involved in each case?
352. Mr R S Stevenson to ask the MEC responsible for Finance, Economic Development and Environmental Affairs:
(a) When is it anticipated that a final appointment will be made of the Head of Department for Treasury, (b) what is the reason for the delay in filling this position, (c) how many times has this position been advertised and (d) what were the reasons for re-advertisement in each case?
