KABUSO CORRUPTION REPORT QUESTIONED IN EASTERN CAPE LEGISLATURE

In response to a follow-up question in relation to my question for oral reply today in the provincial legislature, the MEC for Local Government, Mlibo Qoboshiyane, indicated that the municipality has been given to the end of June to respond to certain aspects in the Kabuso Report on alleged corruption in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.

I queried his original answer by stating that waiting for legal opinions can take years and years and this matter now need to be drawn to a head.

Municipalities that have clean governance are the ones that are best positioned to attract investment and create jobs. The Kabuso Report needs to be published in full so any corruption and maladministration that may exist in the Metro can be dealt with once and for all.
