Mandela Day provides a wonderful opportunity for all South Africans to come together and perform a service to the community.

By participating in Mandela Day we help to build a nation with a unified purpose of service to others. When we all join hands in a common task it builds on the legacy of national reconciliation that Nelson Mandela was so much part of.

Our society with such huge inequalities needs people to reach out to those less fortunate than themselves to ensure a better future and opportunities for all.

We need to build a society where the dignity of all people is truely put first.
