Annette Rademeyer, who has worked in the legislature tirelessly for the last 11 years, will be leaving our permanent staff at the end of December. Annette will continue with her work as a Buffalo City Metro councillor and as an active member of the DA.
She joined the legislature in 2001, where she worked as the PA to the Chief Whip, Bobby Stevenson and since then as his personal assistant as Leader in the Legislature. She has been part of the growth and increased impact that the DA has been making in the legislature. One of her key administrative tasks has been to manage our questions and answers. This is the most important weapon in an opposition party’s political arsenal. She has done this with great dedication and expertise.
Legislature leader Bobby Stevenson said: “I will miss her no-nonsense attitude, her ability to find any document or speech going back 11 years as well as her passion for the cause we hold so dear. Her love of animals and her community work in reaching out to those less fortunate is an inspiration of what it means to care for people.“
Annette will leave a gap in our ranks which will not easily be filled. We wish her well with her future endeavours.
