Work history:

  • Worked for various shipping companies until 1988.
  • January 1988 joined Auto & General Insurance until April 2002.
  • Started working for Auto & General in Cape Town, promoted to a manager and transferred to Port Elizabeth in 1991.
  • I resigned from Auto & General to go into full time politics.

Previous political positions:

  • MPL in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature
  • DA Provincial Legislature committees served are: Local Government & Traditional Affairs; Housing and Economic Affairs.
  • Elected as a ward councillor for the Democratic Alliance in December 2000 in Port Elizabeth.
  • Re-elected in 2006.
  • Was elected Chief Whip of the DA Caucus Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality in 2006.
  • Serve on the Provincial Executive of the party.
  • Provincial chair ADAC (Assoc Democratic Alliance Councillors)
  • DA spokesperson HR & Corporate Admin spokesperson DA caucus NMBM.
  • Elected as Member of the Provincial Legislature (MPL) Eastern Cape April 2009
