Born in Lichtenburg, North-West Province in 1976.
Family moved to East London in 1986.

- Am passionate about my 8yr old son.
Education
- Went to Stirling Primary School, and matriculated from Selborne College in 1994.
- During a business trip to the USA and having a strong need to study further, I started studying Medicine at the University of Florida in the States.
- Since Rhodes University in East London had no medical programme I changed my degree to B.Comm (Law).
Work history
- Went straight in the family business after school.
- A family medical concern persuaded me to return to SA to help out with the family business.
Previous political positions:
- MPL in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature
- DA Provincial Legislature committees served are: Economic Affairs, Environment and Tourism, Sport, Recreation, Arts & Culture and Youth, Gender & the Disabled
- Joined the DA in 2003.
- Became DA Provincial Youth Leader in 2005.
- Elected to BCM Council in 2006.
- Became DA caucus leader in 2008.
- Elected to Provincial Legislature in 2009.
- Been an executive member of the Border-Kei Chamber of Business since 2004.
Hobbies
- Participate in Rowing as a recreational and competitive sport.
